We are excited that we will, once again, be in Antigua this year from July 10-15. We are making arrangements to perform 65 operations at the Hospital Obras. As we did last year we will be providing both gynaecological and general surgical care. Our patients have a great unmet need and these operations can be truly life-altering. Many of these people have waited for years with medical conditions that would be fixed promptly in Canada and other developed countries. We heard a number of heart wrenching stories from our patients and their gratitude was overwhelming.

The C.A.R.E. Team performed 58 operations in 2015 at Obras with outstanding support from our friends at Partner for Surgery and Asociación Compañero para Cirugía who are responsible for finding and transporting the patients as well as providing support and postoperative care at the Casa de Fe.
